39/22 is a startup company which exemplifies the conspicuous talent of the Greek land for producing exceptional foods – olive oil being the most important of them.

We came up with a brand name that stands out in a sea of brand names with words of Greek origin. We named the company after Greece’s geographical coordinates, leading it straight to the heart of the Greek landscape. Then we created a visual identity that balances between the virility of the people who harvest the land and the opulence of Mother Earth.

The female figures that adorn the 39/22 range of single varietal olive oils were chosen in order to emphasize the timelessness of each traditional Greek olive variety that has been part of this land for thousands of years. The design of each figure derives from ancient Cycladic, Archaic and Minoan female statuaries. In each of these cultures and periods, the image of the woman was used to signify the “Great Mother”, a symbol of fertility, rebirth and the continuation of life. Concepts identified with the sustainability of the Greek land.

Nowadays 39/22 is one of the most awarded Greek olive oils in international taste competitions; this is one of those times when what you see is what you get.
