Tzanis is more than a spirits brand. It’s a bold reimagining of Cretan tradition. Specializing in rakomelo, tsikoudia, and aged tsikoudia, this young producer honors his roots while shaping a modern identity that is raw, authentic, and unapologetically original. Standing at the forefront of a new generation of Cretan distillation, Tzanis respects tradition without being bound by it. It is a spirited tribute to those who lead with legacy but dare to make it their own.
At 2yolk, we set out to bring this unique brand soul to life. Using the conventions of premium spirits packaging, we crafted three bottles that balance tradition and modernity. Carefully chosen materials and finishes elevate the product, positioning it firmly in the premium category while maintaining an authentic, personal feel.
The packaging illustrations draw directly from the creator’s archive of real-life photography. Everyday rural moments are transformed into surreal compositions that feel both intimate and mythical, bridging reality and imagination. At the heart of the design stands a detailed Cretan ram: a powerful symbol of freedom, resilience, and life in the rugged mountains.
Each ram is flanked by thyme, sacred trees, and symbolic forms, rooting the design in Crete’s cultural and natural identity. These elements not only celebrate the island’s heritage but also position Tzanis as a brand that carries forward its story in a contemporary, meaningful way.
